One of the highlights of living and growing up in the Midwest are snow days! I'll never forget the minute we would see the cancellation come across the tv; my sisters and I would jump for joy and immediately head outside to play in the snow. These days, it's no different for my little ones. Right before Christmas break we were blessed with "blizzard like conditions" which meant a few extra days at home. The first day we stayed inside, out of the winds. We baked cookies for santa, wrapped presents, made reindeer food, and listened to Christmas songs the whole day. The next day brought lots of sledding and playing in the snow. These are the memories I wanted to focus on for this month's Project Life installment.
I've combined the Sleigh Ride, Fourteen and the brand new DIY Shop collections to create a wintery yet warmth of home feel.
I've continued with my rounded corners; which I'm loving since it's something different from what I normally do on my layouts.
The second spread I created was for our sledding day. I used lots of photos and accented it again with Sleigh Ride, Fourteen, and DIY Shop collections. This time focusing more on the pinks and turquoises in the lines as opposed to the reds and creams. So many possibilities with the same collections!
I used a bit of white space on one of my photos to add some journaling about the homemade sled my hubby made to pull behind our four-wheeler. It's a great way to add bits of journaling!
Have a great weekend - may it bring plenty of snow-filled memories to your Project Life pages!!
