Hello, it's CP Girl Larissa joining you today with another three-dimensional piece, but this time, we're going the route of a layout rather than an altered project. One of my favorite aspects of Crate's most recent collections is that many of the paper and embellishment designs are inspired by games and game boards. So this time, I wanted to do something creative with the designs and because I had beautiful photos of my daughter dressed as Alice in Wonderland, the association with "chess" was immediate.
Let's go ahead and focus on the recreation of "chess" from Alice in Wonderland using some of Crate's game themed products:
First, organize the necessary supplies for the project and separate out your collage papers, glue, scissors and of course, "game" papers from CP's Toy Box Collection.
Depending on the nature or theme of your game board (mine being Alice in Wonderland), trim the images you want to use for adding to the board. If you'd like, paste them on a thicker paper in order to create more stability for your pieces.
Trim small rectangles (like the ones shown) to serve as flaps for your pieces - these will provide additional stability and movement.
Go ahead and crease them and fold them as I have done here.
Adhere the folded papers to the bottom of your collage images/cut-outs. These may need to be adjusted in size to best fit your cut-out. Pre-measuring is suggested.
Finally, adhere the assortment of prepped cut-outs to their desired locations via the application of adhesive along the folded base.
That's all that necessary to bring both magic and fantasy to a scrapbook page! I hope you've loved this idea as much as myself - been fun! See you soon! - Larissa
