We have really exciting news to share with you guys today!! Within a few short weeks, we're going to begin debuting CP's newest collections that will premier at the upcoming Summer CHA 2010 Convention - right here on our blog!! Before we do so though, we have a mighty BIG goal of finding lots of creative folks to join our Crate Paper Design Team! YES, we're finally officializing our design team and seeking interested designers whom love all things Crate Paper related!! Are you someone whom can't get enough of our contemporary, quirky collections? Have you been following Crate Paper since it's very beginning when Hampton and Kate first debuted (our first official releases!)? Do you visit our blog on a regular basis to find out what it is we're up to? Well, if you answered yes to at least two of the above three questions, we'd love to have you try out for the team!! Of course, you'll have to wait 'til tomorrow to find out all the latest design team details...this is when the official design team call starts! Think you might want to try out for the team and become a "CP Girl"? Join us tomorrow to find out how! Make sure to mark your calendars!!
Speaking of which, we've received numerous submissions from our blog contribution team these last couple of weeks. We're still well behind on sharing them with you, so if you take a peek below, you'll find an assortment of phenomenal projects from our contribution team! Here's what they've been up to with their Crate Paper collections:
Kaori, our international blog contributor from Japan, concocted this gorgeous layout using are super cute "Paper Doll" collection. Kaori is one of those designers that is always thinking "outside the box" - we love how she thought to use this collection to tell the story of the relationship between her adorable lil' boy and precious puppy.
Making one's own embellishments can sometimes be a great way to use up extra stickers, chipboard pieces, die-cuts and other small items. Shawna Webster created her own unique stick pin to include on this layout. If you look closely, you'll see it on the lower, left portion of her page - it's sits just above the pink felt flower with the green leaf. To make the pin, Shawna glued a flower to the back of a stick pin, glued a button on top of it and then added ribbon to mimic the appearance of leaves. This kind of thing could easily be done with some of our chipboard flowers and label stickers! Make one's own stickpins - a completely original idea..at least we think so anyway.
Ohhh Larissa - this is so lovely and so very you! Larissa recently submitted her monochromatic layout to a Brazilian e-zine and lo & behold, it was published! Yahh! Our dear brook collection found it's way half-way across the world and for good reason - isn't this layout astounding?! Look at all them lively layers and textures. Below are a few close-up images of layout.
And one more project from Larissa we couldn't resist posting today...
We've never seen Crate Paper pattern paper sculpted like this before!! After a recent trip to France and having taken an amazing balloon ride over the Loire Valley while there, Larissa arrived back home and was inspired to craft her very own hot air balloon with both our Pink Plum and Paper Doll collections. She utilized a heavy cardstock template for creating her balloon from this location.
We hope you've enjoyed the projects as much as we have today..we'd like to cordially thank all our blog contributors for their devoted commitment to CP and for always inspiring us with their thoughtful, beautiful creations!! Some of them will continue on as design team members, which means they'll be with us another six months!! We'll share their names with you upon announcing the new team :)
